  • Two 3 ring binders - one for morning classes and one for afternoon

  • LOTS OF Notebook Paper - college ruled - get 500+ sheets

  • Divider pages for both binders

  • Pocket folders - with the following titles:

    • Vocab, DGP/Grammar, Writing, Reading, Social Studies, Math, Science, Health, Info Tech, Other

  • LOTS OF Pencils - mechanical is okay, but make sure you have lead for them

  • Large eraser

  • USB Flash Drive

  • Several boxes of Family-Size Tissues to share with the classroom

  • Hand-held pencil sharpener with cup for shavings

  • Hardbound Journal (composition books are best) - Label the front cover with your first name, last name and homeroom number

  • Highlighters- green, blue, yellow, pink and orange (Yes, all five colors are necessary for Vocab)

  • $12.00 Cash/Check made payable to Parkland School District to purchase your Vocabulary Book - due first week of school

  • 300 "3x5" or "4x6" white ruled index cards (you will need a minimum of 20 cards for each of 15 vocabulary units)

  • Post-it notes - square shape - mixture of colors - 2 or 3 single pads

  • Zippered Pencil Case (One that fits in your binder)

  • Colored pencils - keep in your locker

  • Colored Markers (both thick and thin markers) - keep in your locker

  • 2-3 Black fine tip marker (example: Flair) - not permanent-No Sharpies!

  • Five extra-large Glue sticks - Need them weekly for Vocab activities

  • 2-3 Blue pens

  • 2-3 Red pens

  • A big smile and a great attitude! :)

This is a list of supplies suggested for Ms. Rinker's classroom.

Please try to bring these items during the first week of school.
